The EL&R 500 is an Effects Loop and Reamper for 500 series racks. It allows you to Reamp a track by providing transformer coupled outputs that you can plug into your amp for mic'ed reamping. It also works as an Effects Loop, putting your pedalboard directly into the recording chain. The EL&R adds transformer warmth, provides two DC power outputs for your pedals, and gives you variable impedance matching.

Yes. The EL&R is a 500 series module — you'll need a compatible rack like the API Lunchbox, Radial Workhorse, or Neve 8804. Most racks will work.

We started Renovo Amp Works building guitar amps that sounded how we wanted an amp to sound. We tried some innovations (some worked, some didn't) and came up with tones that weren't just clones of the big brands.

As musicians and engineers, we wanted a way to use our effect pedals in the recording chain. Yeah, you can use software. Yeah, you can connect MIDI up and fiddle with knobs. But there is nothing like the feel of tweaking a real knob on a real device.

So we built the EL&R because we needed it. We needed an easy way to use our guitar effect pedals in reamping and recording chains. We needed a clean and flexible way to reamp our Renovo Amps that goes beyond current reampers on the market (transformer input or output, impedance matching, etc).

We build what we need and find that others need it too.

Every unit is designed and assembled in the USA (Portland & Minneapolis to be exact). We test every one before it ships.
